Yeah, I am bogging, make that blogging. Sunday Ashlyn was blessed at church. She was fussy before but when her daddy started the blessing she was very quiet and just stared at him. She was fussy the rest of church except while she was sleeping. I slept with her in the mother's lounge. She is sweet and showing a lot more personality but she can be a bit high maintenance. We were a bit late getting to church and she was fussy so I took her out, thinking it would be ten minutes or so until they were ready to bless her, but they announced it immediately. So I booked it back to the meeting. Unbeknownst(sp) to me Jacob had gone out the opposite door to look for me. So I am standing there looking for him and everyone is looking at me and laughing. Jacob rushes back in and I hand off the baby. The blessing was beautiful as always.

I forgot I had written back in October, here I go again. Joslyn(10)  is NOT doing cheerleading, she is trying out softball.  Ashlyn decided she wanted to be a soccer "pro" so I signed her up a week ago, then she declared she wants to stay with gymnastics and not be a soccer "pro." Now she wants me to buy gymnastic equipment and "coach" her at home.  She is intense, that is for sure.  She has been practicing her cart-wheels in the living room, only crashing into the dog cage once, having a total melt down Friday night because she was so tired and couldn't get the cart-wheel just right.  By Sunday evening, she was flying through the air with legs straight up, usually making a feet first landing.  We are trying to find a dance studio for Jordyn.  She is not competitive, she is a bit of  a free spirit and dancing might be fun for her.  Lilly is going to do golf for the Middle School this spring today: we went to church, the kids are in new class...

hello out there in blog land. this is a short description of our family. We are five plus a dog, two horses and a fish named Morty, thats right, Morty, not Marty, Morty. Lilly is very particular about this. Jacob and I were married in Denver, Colorado, in 2002, or was is 2003, jacob would know for sure. We have three girls, Lillian (Lilly,), Joslyn (Josi) and the smallest though she will probably be the tallest when all is said and done, Jordyn (a.k.a. "the baby"). We live in Choctaw Oklahoma. Our German Shepherd's name is Brewster. The neighbor's dog also spends quit most of its time here and lilly calls it "lil' fella" although we figured out he is a she. The horses names are Woodrow and Maggie. Maggie was a stray. yes, a stray horse. It happens quite a lot here, actually. We love making cookies and reading stories and going to the park. The beginning...again

10/05/17 Blogging feels a lot like work.  But I really want to remember the little things that happen everyday, all the things I will wish I could look back on.  The everyday stuff is mostly what life is, what I take for granted, what I think is inconsequential but that i will miss.  Ashlyn is a self-proclaimed "rock star."  She hates to be called cute.  She is very active.  She loves to climb up the door frames.  Lilly is playing trumpet. She has been practicing for the honor band auditions in November.  She got second chair in band and was voted second best out of the entire band.  not too shabby. I think it inspired her to keep playing and practicing.  Her friend Hannah de Gaston (mom is my friend from High School in  Colorado, Melanie formerly Stimpson) also plays trumpet.
